Here is a glimpse of Gabby's actual birthday.  It was a day all about Gabby.  We played All. Day. Long. We had lunch with Daddy, visited Grandma, and opened a few gifts, played in the sandbox, rode her bike, and ate cake.  It was a fun and busy day planned by Miss 4 Year Old herself. Daddy had to work late (to ensure he'd be off the day of her birthday party), but that was okay because it meant Gabby got to stay up until 10:00 to make sure she had some Daddy time too.  Gabby thought it was a great day!

Rainbow nails (notice the green) blowing a birthday kiss

So proud to be four

Playing with her balloon waiting for Daddy to come home

Sweetness

Now that she is 4 she is ready to ride her big girl bike

The flowers she insisted she needed in celebration of her big day

Red velvet cake and turning 4. What could be better?

Our family couldn't be happier

Happy Birthday Baby Girl.

Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving Day we all with to Grandma and Papa’s house to enjoy a traditional Cajun dinner and it was delicious.  Gigi, Blakeleigh, Brandy, Nanny, Uncle Patrick, Grandma, Papa, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Christine, and Keith were all there to celebrate with us.  Gabby enjoyed the day immensely playing with Blakeleigh the entire day and even trying to snuggle with her during her nap time.  Gabby made everyone sing "Happy Birthday" to Mommy and she blew out the candles Then Brandy and Blakeleigh spent two nights with us.  We had lots of fun going to Mud Pie to make handprint Christmas cookie plates and hanging out at Grandma’s house.  Gabby enjoyed very much singing Happy Birthday to Mommy with the family and blowing out my candle.  The night of my birthday Gabby spend the night with Grandma and Papa and Nanny, Uncle Patrick, Mommy and Daddy went to the movies together for the first time ever.  It was a very fun weekend.   T...

Sacrafices for My Angel

Everyone knows that being a parent is full of sacrifices and some are more difficult than others. So far being a Mom I have "sacrificed" my skin thanks to stretch marks, my youthfulness, thanks to the worries that cause the new wrinkles I notice weekly, my pretty legs thanks to the varicose veins I received during pregnancy that never went away, the comfort of sitting thanks to the back pain I have had ever since pregnancy, a good night’s sleep, and the list goes on... However, none of these things truly feel like a sacrifice (although I do miss sleep and my non-damaged body) they are just part of being a mommy and I wouldn't trade parenthood for anything! Today, however, a very difficult sacrifice was made, although I know it was the only choice. Ranger, the dog Michael and I had for 7 ½ years, was given to a new home today. He bit Gabby on her head when she was about 9 months old and then about a week ago he nipped at her and unfortunately that was the last straw. M...

Pink or Blue Skittle

Okay so as requested by many, I am posting a picture of my belly. A few people told me that they needed to see my belly before guessing the sex of the baby. When Michael took this picture last night we were both convinced my belly grew from the time I woke up. Please comment whether you think it's a boy or a girl or email me and let me know what you think because I would love to make a little scrapbook page of who guessed what. We will let you know October 30th, whether or not you are correct.
